Is it possible that I might be, slowly but surely, getting better at running? Woohoo, I hope so! So since we have looked back on stats, now it is time to look forward. Here are my running goals for 2014:
1. Sub 3 hour half marathon
2. Sub 35 minute 5K (34:59 please)
3. Become a Half Fanatic
4. Complete a sprint triathlon
But besides running, this has been a big year of changes for me. Over the summer, the bank that I worked for closed. Although I had been looking for a job before I found out it was closing, it was like my security blanket being pulled out from underneath me. I thought it was the worst thing to happen to me but it ended up being the best. I had the summer off to swim, tan, and enjoy time with my family at the beach club in East Haven. Then in July, I got a call offering me my current job in New York City. This would not have happened without Daniella and I try to remind myself to thank her as often as possible for not only believing in me but giving me the best gift in the world- hope for my future.
I have worked at my current job for 4 months and they have been 4 amazing months, I have trained in 3 different states so far- New York, New Jersey, and Colorado. I look forward to 2014 and hope for more training and traveling.
Besides my career change, more recently, I have blogged about my struggles with buying my first new car. But I have some exciting news...I bought a new car! I chose a 2014 Chevy Equinox that I named Silver Belle because I love Christmas. It was a tough decision that my dad really guided me on, which ultimately worked out. I am very excited for my adventures with Belle! So far I love driving it, I just need to get used to parking it.
I am so grateful for an amazing year. I wish all readers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Set goals and reach for the stars. If there is anything I can do to help you reach those goals, please feel free to ask. See you in 2014! :) xoxo
